Castle Rock, Colorado
Our town.Our future.
Castle Rock is growing fast, and the decisions made at Town Hall this year will shape it for decades. We're neighbors who pay attention, ask questions, and help each other show up.
What we're watching
Three questions come up again and again in our town. Each one gets decided in public meetings, usually with only a handful of residents in the room.
-
Growth and roads
New neighborhoods keep getting approved. Roads, schools and public safety have to keep up.
Who pays for new infrastructure, and does it arrive before the rooftops do?
-
Water and open space
We live in a dry place. Every new development draws on the same water supply and changes the land around us.
Is there a long-term water plan, and which open spaces are protected for good?
-
Open government
Agendas, votes and budgets are public, but they're hard to follow if you work days and have a family.
Can residents easily see what's being decided, and in time to weigh in?
How to be heard
You don't need to be an expert to make a difference. Here's how to go from reading about an issue to having your say.
-
Find your council district
Castle Rock has six council districts plus a mayor elected townwide. Look up who represents your street.
